buddha purnima ~ full moon of buddha.

Buddha purnima ~ full moon of buddha this year is on May 10, 2017.

The day of Buddha Purnima is dedicated to Gautam Buddha. As per the Hindu Calendar, it is observed on the full-Moon night (Purnima) in the Hindu month of Vaishakha, which this year is on May 10. Associated with the celebration of Buddha Jayanti or birthday, it is also celebrated that Buddha attained Nirvana or Moksha on this day and left the world. Following are considered the 4 noble points taught by Buddha:

1- human life is suffering 2- human desires are the core reason for suffering 3- end of human desires will end human sufferings 4- an end to the desire can be done by following the eight-fold noble path: the right view of life, of intention, of speech, of action, of livelihood, of effort, of frame of mind and of concentration.

In Buddhism, along with the eight-fold path, some basic principles are also followed. These are known as Panchsheel: Not To Take Life - Not To Steal - Not To Lie - Not To Take Alcohol - Not To Commit Adultery.

THIS BUDDHA PURNIMA, DON'T LOOK FOR HAPPINESS AND BLISS AROUND OR OUTSIDE IN YOUR ACTIVITIES AND IN OTHER PEOPLE... AS IT IS RIGHT AND ONLY INSIDE YOU.
